BVD PI Removal Incentivisation Scheme opened on 8th Feb. 2017

The BVD PI Removal Incentivisation Scheme which will be delivered in partnership between AHWNI and the LMC opened for claims on 8 February 2017. The Incentivisation Scheme aims to encourage farmers to dispose of BVD infected calves as soon as possible.

A dairy heifer PI can receive £130 financial replacement assistance -male dairy calves as well as beef calves also receive assistance too.

Farmers who may have an eligible animal will receive a claim form from AHWNI. The form must be completed and sent back to LMC.  All details as to eligibility and how to claim are included in the guidance.
