About Us: Countryside Services has been in business from 1998, and we are a leading supplier of livestock ID tags and EID tags in Northern  Ireland and the UK.  With more than 20 years’ experience working within the farming community we provide support and sustainable solutions for the future of farm families and businesses. From 2022 the company now also specialises in an Industrial Range of Tags and can design and create bespoke tags to suit the needs of the customer.

Purpose of the role: To support the Production Manager in achieving production targets and to achieve company goals. Ensure quality accuracy and quality of all products. Shared responsibility for Remote Laser support within the organisation, liaising with the Merchants as the need arises.

Aim: Delivery of quality products to customers on time and in line with company policies and procedures. To ensure Remote Lasers are functioning correctly which allows the business to run effectively without interruption.

Location: Dungannon (primarily site-based, with occasional travel across Northern Ireland and to
Great Britain)

Job Summary: We are seeking a versatile and proactive IT & Production Support Technician to provide both technical IT support and hands-on assistance within production operations. This role is split approximately 30% IT support and 70% production assistance, requiring a flexible individual who can adapt to both technical troubleshooting and operational tasks on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities

IT Support (Approx. 30%)

  • Provide first-line IT support for hardware, software, and network issues for both Production and Remote Lasers.
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and Lasers (both internal and external)
  • Assist with system updates, backups, and basic network administration
  • Support users with production-related systems and software
  • Liaise with external IT providers when required
  • Maintain IT documentation and asset records keeping all ISO documents up to date and accurate.

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel within Northern Ireland and to England, Scotland, and Wales
  • Estimated travel: limited, a few trips per year


Key Skills & Experience

  • Basic to intermediate IT support experience (hardware/software
    troubleshooting)
  • Strong problem-solving skills in both technical and practical environments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production setting
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred due to travel requirements)


Desirable

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Familiarity with production systems or laser equipment
  • Knowledge of Inkscape, Corel Draw, Photoshop would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity of working with QR Codes & URL’s
  • Basic networking knowledge

Working Conditions

  • 95% site-based in Dungannon
