Purpose of the role: The Customer Service Advisor role is a key role within our company as you are the first point of contact for many of our customers and you set the standard in the delivery of our customer service. Therefore, you will be responsible for setting the tone and delivering excellent customer service, promoting our business and offering support to our sales staff as appropriate and directed.

Aim: Attend to visitors and deal with inquiries on the phone and face to face. Supply information regarding the business to the general public, clients and customers.

Main Duties

  • Promote the company by greeting all customers either by telephone or face to face, in a friendly open manner and adhere to excellent customer service standards as set by the company
  • General administration duties
  • Maintaining customer database
  • Taking and processing orders on our database
  • Answer telephone, screen and direct calls 
  • Take and relay messages
  • Provide information to callers
  • Greet persons entering our premises quickly, in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Direct persons to correct destination
  • Deal with queries from the public and customers
  • Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of premises
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support
  • Prepare correspondence and documents
  • Receive and sort mail and deliveries
  • Monitor and maintain office equipment
  • Control inventory relevant to reception area
  • Tidy and maintain the reception area


Sales Duties

  • Monitor and compile data relating to customers who have purchased our products in the past
  • Follow up sales calls to past customers
  • Take the opportunity to up-sell to our customers either by telephone or face-to-face
  • Support our sales team as and when required

Any other duties as requested or required by the Managing Director or Board.

Essential Criteria

  • G.C.S.E or equivalent English and Maths, grade c or higher
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • 1 years’ experience in a similar role or a customer facing role
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Excellent professional attitude
  • Adaptable and flexible in your approach to your working day
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and highly IT literate
  • Time management skills
  • Team-player


Desirable

  • Experience in working in a sales driven environment
  • Agricultural Experience
