Purpose of the role: To be responsible for developing and delivering our marketing strategy in line with company objectives, for the long-term profitable growth of the entire business.
Aim: To help build and maintain a strong and consistent brand using a wide range of on-line and offline marketing channels. Oversee the promotion of the business, our services and products. Support our market position and promote the growth of market share in key sectors.
Main Duties:
– Develop the marketing strategy and manage budget, in line with company objectives
– Plan and execute seasonal promotions and campaigns throughout the year
– Sales performance reporting and analysis, in support of senior management needs
– Production, copy writing and proof reading of advertising and promotional material including press releases
– Promotion of company’s products and services, in N. Ireland and across the UK
– Website development, content creation & management, and updating social platforms
– Ensuring marketing campaigns are delivered on time and within budget
– Liaising closely with all departments in relation to promoting key products and services
– Support the Sales team in successful delivery of commercial targets
– Organise and manage company presence at trade shows and industry events
– Design marketing materials, including print materials of trade marketing
General:
– Work closely with Head of Sales and support the sales team to achieve KPI’s
– Responsible for all companywide communications
– Continually review marketing strategy and campaigns and adapt to ensure an effective return on investment
– Excellent verbal and communication skills, ability to work across departments
– Creativity and innovative approach to problem solving
– A self-starter who is equally effectively working independently as well as part of a team
Any other duties as requested or required by senior management or Board.
Essential Criteria:
– Level 5 qualification (degree level) or equivalent in Marketing or related discipline
– Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position, including supporting a sales function
– Proficiency with online marketing and social media strategy, analytics
– Graphic design tools use experience (online and offline)
Desirable:
– Agricultural industry knowledge or interest
– At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position, including supporting a sales function
– Proven experience designing interactive applications and networking platforms
– Experience in dealing with media
Reporting to: Head of Sales & Marketing
Working with: Sales Team, Customer Services, Managing Director, Rural Services Team, Senior Management.
External relationships: Agri-merchant customers, on-line & industry print media providers, trade event organisers, Ulster Farmers Union, Department of Agriculture, Environment & Rural Affairs.
