Production/General Administrator

REPORTS TO: Production and Customer Services Manager

KEY PURPOSE: To provide production and sales administration support within the Livestock ID department at Countryside Services Ltd.

LOCATION: 97 Moy Road, Dungannon

DURATION: Full Time

HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 hours per week plus additional hours at peak times

SALARY SCALE: £14,165 - £19,000.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Production

  1. To produce printed, encoded animal products using Industrial Laser Printers
  2. To pack and despatch tag orders to customers
  3. To undertake all stock and associated admin duties relating to production
  4. To deal efficiently with customer and supplier queries regarding the range of company products.
  5. To maintain accurate production records

General Administration

  1. To receive and process customer orders utilising the tag ordering software and APHIS online both during breaks and for absence cover.
  2. To receive and account for cash, credit card, cheques and other payments through the appropriate systems as required
  3. To provide reception support and welcome and deal professionally with visitors to the company.
  4. To undertake other duties as may be required from time to time.

PERSONNEL SPECIFICATION

Essential Criteria

Qualifications/Experience

  • GCSE's or equivalent in Mathematics and English(Grade C or above)
  • Experience of working in a busy environment
  • IT literate with experience of Microsoft Office (e.g. internet, e-mail, Word, Excel etc.)
  • Knowledge of the agricultural industry

Abilities/Skills

  • Ability to work using own initiative to plan and organise workload to meet company standards and deadlines
  • Able to demonstrate a high standard of communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly and efficient telephone manner
  • Proven organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable Criteria

Qualifications/Experience

  • HND or equivalent in Agriculture or Agri related subject
  • Qualified to ECDL level in computers
  • RSA Stage II Word Processing or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the agricultural industry
  • Experience of having provided services to the farming community
  • Experience of machine maintenance
  • Experience of CAD systems
  • Forklift licence
  • Experience of using APHIS
