This scheme has been devised to support the development of facilities and supply chains for the emerging Short Rotation Coppice Willow biomass industry in Northern Ireland.
The scheme supports capital projects to develop and install storage and drying facilities for harvested willow. It also has an element of funding to support specialised harvesting machinery or specialised attachments for existing equipment.
The programme opened on the 17th January 2007 and completed applications must be filed by 3.00 pm on 30th March 2007. The project must be completed by 30 June 2008.
